The Dawnward Company

The Dawnward Company is a small cross-realm company formed to carry a dangerous sealed charge beyond the reach of courts, armies, and bargaining houses. Its members are not an army and do not pretend to be innocent of politics: each road they take alters claims between Caerdun, Vaelorn, the Varric Marches, Dovarim, and the lesser powers that shelter or hunt them. Across the road courts and hearth-halls, the Company is named whenever ordinary loyalty is tested against state necessity.
