The Sunlance Riders

The Sunlance Riders are elite road cavalry, envoy guards, pursuit hunters, and the visible edge of Surayan honour. They ride under witness rules: what they take, spare, promise, or avenge must be reported at the next sun-post. Their lances shine bright enough to be seen through dust; their saddlebags carry water skins, salt tablets, spare cord, bandages, and written statements wrapped against rain. The order is old, disciplined, and dangerous. Its honour is real, but built for speed, reprisals, and cleanly remembered violence.
