The Deep Crown Moot gathers forge-lords, vein stewards, clan matriarchs, gate captains, oath-speakers, and clerks who carry debts older than many bloodlines. It decides mining rights, war musters, succession disputes, sealed vault openings, and the hard question of whose pride must pay for common survival. Its chamber smells of lamp oil, hot wax, old stone, polished bronze, and account books handled by angry hands. The Moot is beautiful in ritual gravity and dreadful in consequence: a vote may feed a hall, ruin a clan, or open wealth meant for children not yet born.
