The Woundroot Border

The Woundroot Border is the scarred outer green where old fires, axes, curses, and buried weapons twisted trees around memory. Silver Wardens patrol it constantly because a wound in a realm can become a door. The air smells of damp ash, leaf rot, iron under soil, torn bark, and rain on old arrowheads. Few of Lysvar's gentlest songs are heard there. The Border prefers warnings with points. Its beauty is wounded but not dead: new leaves growing around black scars, flowers over buried blades, and paths watched by people who know healing without vigilance is invitation.
