The Silver Wardens keep Lysvar's edges where beauty thins into danger. They are border guardians, path-keepers, silent escorts, scouts, archers, and the last warning before mercy becomes violence. Their cloaks smell of rain, leaf mould, bow wax, river mist, and cold iron arrowheads. They guide refugees, mislead hunters, count unfamiliar tracks, and decide when a warning has spent its worth. The order is ancient, its routes inherited through songs and scarred trees. People bless them when they arrive unseen. Enemies often learn of them only after the path has closed behind them.
