Lurzag Firstborn

Lurzag Firstborn was not raised so much as prepared. Everything about him suggests a weapon given childhood only so it would learn which names to hate. Drazakar understands the forged pride in him, the belief that a life may be justified by the precision of the blow it was made to deliver. Ordran understands the drilled shape of his violence: routes studied, watches counted, signal delays used, targets removed before their followers can turn grief into order. His companies smell of black oil, wet canvas, filed iron, ration smoke, and the sour quiet before a command too rehearsed to disobey. Lurzag does not chase glory broadly. He hunts the figure on whom a song depends, then leaves the army to discover its chorus has become noise.
