Lunareth Glade is Lysvar's hidden heart: capital, shrine, last refuge, and test of intention. Pale trunks rise around suspended bridges and pools that reflect paths invisible by day. Moonlight there seems old enough to have remembered the first sanctuary vow. The air smells of wet bark, lantern oil, clean water, moss, and bread given to frightened guests. Its beauty can undo suspicion for a moment. Its dread returns when one understands that every approach was measured, every silence listened, and every kindness weighed against enemies who would burn the Glade to possess its roads. The cost of that hidden mercy is carried by wardens posted beyond the bridges, by villages denied a route when danger follows too closely, and by guest-keepers who must decide whose need may endanger the heartwood.
