Elaron Twin-Rider

Elaron Twin-Rider is one half of a grief that learned to ride faster than mourning. He knows Vaelorn courts well enough to bow without trusting the room, and Varric roads well enough to read a milepost like a confession. Distance rarely comforts his enemies. It gives him time to decide whether they are fleeing judgement, consequence, or only the next bad winter. Vaelorn lends him restraint, the discipline to make vengeance speak in lawful tones before lamps and witnesses. The Marches lend him suspicion, the knowledge that a road unguarded becomes someone else's throne by nightfall. Elaron smells of horse sweat, sea salt, pine resin, wet leather, and the cold iron taste of promises carried too long.
