Vharzug the Ashen Crown

Vharzug the Ashen Crown is not obeyed because he is loved. He is obeyed because disobedience becomes part of his fortress. Oaths around him harden into walls, fear receives corridors, and every triumph feels like another room from which someone else holds the key. Drazakar recognises the dominion in him: command made ritual, punishment made architecture, armies arranged so that terror can march with supply. The darker courts recognise the older hunger, the crown that wants not loyalty but inhabitable dread. Vharzug smells of ash on stone, black iron warmed by braziers, sealed leather, old blood under limewash, and incense too bitter for comfort. Where he rules, even victory lowers its voice, as if afraid the walls are listening.
