Gorvak Ashbag

Gorvak Ashbag survives on the things proud captains discard. Bent nails, cracked helms, spoiled grain cut with ash, broken cart pins, frightened prisoners, old rope, and shields split just short of useless all find a place in his order of war. Drazakar understands him because dominion is not built only by great decrees; it is kept alive by depots that stink, garrisons nobody praises, and men willing to count filth as resource. Gorvak's forts are ugly, low, smoky, and difficult to starve. They smell of boiled leather, rat grease, damp sacks, cold cinders, and sweat trapped under patched armour. Every failed assault leaves him richer in scrap and more convinced that beauty is a luxury invented by people whose walls have not yet been tested.
